Jalapeno Popper “Hayley” Burger Recipe

To make a vegetarian version, simply swap out the ground beef for your favorite vegetarian patty. You can also use vegan cream cheese to make this recipe completely free of animal products.

The Jalapeno Popper (Hayley) Burger
Ingredients:
- 1 Dave’s Killer Bun
- 4 – 6 oz lean ground beef (90-95% lean)
- Salt, pepper, and garlic powder (to taste)
- Olive oil spray (for toasting the bun)
- 1 tbsp whipped cream cheese
- Sliced jalapeños (to taste)
- 1 tbsp raspberry jam
- 1-2 leaves of green leaf lettuce

Instructions:

- Season the beef:
- Form the lean ground beef into a 4-6 oz patty and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Cook the burger:
- In a pan: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger for about 5-6 minutes on each side until it reaches your desired doneness.
- On a grill: Grill the burger patty over medium-high heat for 5-6 minutes per side until cooked through.
- Toast the bun:
- Spray the inside of the Dave’s Killer Bun with olive oil spray. Toast the bun lightly in the same pan (or on the grill) until golden brown.
- Assemble the burger:
- Season the whipped cream cheese with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir.
- Spread 1 tbsp whipped cream cheese on the inside of the top bun.
- Add sliced jalapeños on top of the cream cheese.
- Spread 1 tbsp raspberry jam on the inside of the bottom bun.
- Place the green leaf lettuce on the bottom bun.
- Add the cooked burger patty on top of the lettuce, then cover with the top bun.
- Serve and enjoy:
- Assemble the burger and enjoy the flavorful combination!
